Kerry Arnold – Heritage Community Foundation Board Chairman
Kerry is the Henry County President for Heritage Bank and has been active in serving this community for more than 25 years. He is known for his quick wit and his commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need. Kerry is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Henry County and was recognized as “Rotarian of the Year” in 2012. He created and has managed the “Adopt a Road” program in Henry County for over 10 years. Kerry is on the board of Shining Light Ministries and on the Henry County Chamber of Commerce’s Governmental Affairs Committee.
Stacy Hammons – Board Member
Stacy Hammons has been employed by Heritage Bank for 10 years. She is the Assistant Branch Manager at our Eagles Landing office and is responsible for the daily operations of the branch. Prior to her current position, Stacy worked as a Teller Manager and as a Customer Service Representative.
Stacy has a volunteer’s heart and is very active in the community. She has participated in the Henry County Relay for Life for over eight years by working with Bank Night and various fundraising efforts. She was elected Heritage Bank’s Team Captain in 2015. Stacy has volunteered with the Henry County Meals on Wheels program since 2013 and also participates in the Teach to Save and Career Day programs in Henry County Schools.
Stacy graduated from Social Circle High School in Walton County. She and her husband Clint have been married for 13 years and have an 11-year-old son. They currently reside in Conyers, Georgia.
Christine Standish – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Christy is known as a problem solver with strong organizational and leadership skills. She has lived in this area for more than 45 years graduating from North Clayton High School and Clayton Jr. College (now Clayton State University). She earned a Business Administration degree and received an array of scholastic honors for her high school and college academic work. Christy loves to cook and travel, especially to historical sites. She has worked in banking for 20 years and has been with Heritage Bank for 10 years where she is the Vice President of Loan Review. Christy is excited to be a part of the Heritage Community Foundation Board where she can support and strengthen the community where she grew up and now lives
Jenny Smith – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Jenny Smith has worked for Heritage Bank for 14 years. She currently is a Project Manager with duties that include monitoring debit card and deposit fraud. She has been in banking since 1982, and over the years has held various positions in the branch, including bookkeeping and accounting.
Jenny was raised in Clayton County and is a graduate of Jonesboro High School. She now lives in Jackson, Georgia, with her husband and two children. She has participated with the Clayton County Humane Society, Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels and Heritage Bank’s “Teach Kids to Save” program. For the last two years, her family has been fostering children from the Butts County area. Through this experience, her family is in the process of adopting a beautiful little girl.
Karen Borges – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Karen is the Administrative Assistant to the Henry County President for Heritage Bank and has lived in this community for more than 31 years. Karen and her husband have 2 school-aged children and a family dog. She has worked for Heritage Bank for 11 years and is proud to be a part of the good work the Heritage Community Foundation is accomplishing throughout the area.
Maria Morrow – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Maria has lived in this area for nearly 20 years and is known as organized, outgoing and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those around her. She grew up in Texas and is number “9” of 10 children in her family. Maria has a twin brother and enjoys reading, gardening and traveling. She was active in school where she ran track, played basketball and was also the school mascot (a Cardinal). In the early part of her career, Maria was a successful restaurant management executive where she excelled in customer service and employee training. She joined Heritage Bank in 2015 and works in the Heritage Bank – Heritage Plaza Branch as the Assistant Branch Manager. Maria is excited about giving back to the community through her service on the Heritage Community Foundation Board.
Betty Davenport- Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Betty has lived in this area for 43 years and is committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives. She has worked with Heritage Bank for nearly 11 years as Online Banking Coordinator and supports the Information Technology Department. An avid sports fan, her favorite teams are the Duke Blue Devils (basketball) and the Atlanta Falcons NFL team. Betty travels to Boston as often as she can to visit her daughter and grandchildren and explore the historical sites in the Boston area. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro where she loves to work with the children’s choir program. Betty has been recognized as “Heritage Bank Employee of the Year” and is a valuable ambassador for Heritage Bank and the Heritage Community Foundation.
Cindy Highnote – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Cindy’s banking career started in 1978 with Central Fidelity Bank in Portsmouth Virginia. Moving back to Georgia in 1980, she started working with Fulton Federal Savings & Loan (now Wells Fargo Bank) at the East Point office, and held various positions until becoming Regional Operations Officer in 1993. She later worked with Neighborhood Community Bank as the Branch Manager of the Peachtree City office and joined Heritage Bank in 2012 where she works in the Fayetteville Office. She is active in the Fayette County Senior Services “Meals on Wheels” organization and the Main Street “Taste of Fayetteville” program. Cindy is an active member of Lisbon Baptist Church and teaches Pre-school Sunday School. She lives in Fayette County and has two grown children and two grandchildren. Cindy uses her diverse talents as she designed and created the life-size mascot “Blaze” costume for Heritage Bank and had fun greeting the Heritage Bank customers in her “Blaze” persona!
Vickie Burrell – Heritage Community Foundation Board Member
Vickie has been in banking for more than 40 years and is the Assistant Branch Manager of the Forest Park Heritage Bank location. She was nominated to the HCF Board as a result of her commitment to the Heritage Bank “Tradition of Excellence”. People describe Vickie as detail oriented, compassionate, loyal, friendly, warm, cheerful, sincere, punctual, attentive, supportive, gracious, humble and a disciplined professional. She has demonstrated her commitment to community service as she has participated in Career Day and “Teaching Kids to Save”- A Financial Literacy Program, the Kiwanis Club, Spalding Samaritans, Technical Institute – New Connections “Work to Job Readiness Program”, Women’s Council , Partners In Education, All Faith’s Ministries and various Financial Literacy Programs. Vickie is very passionate for the opportunity to serve and to provide assistance to those in need.
Jack Bowdoin- Heritage Bank Board Member / HCF Representative
Jack recently retired after a 45 year career in banking and now serves on the Board of Directors for Heritage Bank. Throughout his career he has been repeatedly recognized for his leadership, outgoing personality and his keen business skills. He has lived in Griffin, Georgia for 40 years and has contributed significantly to the economic development of the entire region. He was recognized in 2010 as the Fayette County Business Person of the Year and is the past Chairman (2014-2016) of the Henry County Council for Quality Growth. Throughout his career Jack has served and provided leadership for various civic and educational organizations in the area. Jack is a graduate of Mercer University, Georgia. School of Banking (UGA), Atlanta Law School (JD) and Stonier Graduate School (Rutgers University). He now serves as the liaison between the Heritage Bank Board of Directors and the Heritage Community Foundation. His insights and abilities will reinforce the Heritage Community Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality of life in Henry, Fayette and Clayton Counties.
